cellini's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The stupidest thing she's said today The stupidest thing to come out of Cynthia's mouth so far today: "I wonder if when somebody decides to do a cover of a song that somebody else already did, do they already have that over-arching melody in mind? How do they end up putting that together? That's truly an art form in it's self. That's what I would ask them." It's quite stunning sometimes. Her ability to say things so incredibly devoid of intelligent observation or insight or usefulness. She spits this shit out and we're all just sort of silent. Like, what the fuck do you say to that? I've learned not ever to answer at all because it will only enourage an even more vapid conversation about, essentially, nothing. One that will continue for long, tedious minutes and prove utterly worthless to all involved. My father makes the effort often to respond in some positive way. It's very kind of him.
